Company Description

Established family owned drain cleaning business is looking for their next team member. Electric Eel Sewer & Drain Specialists have been serving Calgary and area since 1980. However, we originated in Windsor, Ontario starting in the 1950's. We specialize in both residential and commercial drain cleaning using tried and true methods.

Role Description

This is a role for a Drain Cleaning Technician located in Calgary, AB and surrounding communities. The Drain Cleaning Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving drain and sewer blockages. The role involves operating specialized equipment, maintaining said equipment and company vehicle, as well as ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently. Additional tasks include completing service reports, in-person customer service, and adhering to safety regulations and company protocols.

Qualifications

  • A valid class 5 or 3 driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience and a clean driver's abstract.
  • Reliable transportation required as transit not available to our shop.
  • Previous experience in drain cleaning, plumbing, or a related field is an asset but willing to train the right candidate.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor repairs or maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 100lbs, work in confined spaces or adverse conditions as required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and team members.
  • Flexible work schedule including a rotation in our on-call schedule.
  • Confident problem-solving skills and detail oriented mindset.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and professional conduct.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
