This role involves managing transactions, assisting customers, and supporting overall restaurant operations to ensure a positive dining experience.

Duties

  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing orders and payments
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations for change and totals
  • Assist with food preparation and food handling to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and upselling menu items when appropriate
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cashier station and surrounding areas in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Support serving staff by managing order accuracy and timely processing of transactions
  • Ensure proper food safety practices are followed during all cashiering activities
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times and improve customer satisfaction

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is highly desirable
  • Experience in cashiering, food handling, and serving roles is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively
  • Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours to ensure smooth operations
