We oversee the daily management and development of a diverse portfolio of multi-family rental properties. This full-time, in-office role is based at our newly renovated location in Abbotsford, B.C.

Duties:

Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will work well in a fast‑paced, paperless environment as part of a finance team that is technologically driven. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

·      Preparation of month end and year end financial statements and analytical procedures including assisting our external accounting firm at year end

·      Full G/L entries, reconciliations and financial analysis for various companies in the Group

·      Preparation of bank reconciliations for various bank accounts

·      Balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations

·      Month-end journal entries and processes

·      Preparation and filing of GST & WorkSafe returns

·      Payroll processing

·      Preparation of Lender Reporting packages

·      Support other departments with their enquiries

·      Other related duties as assigned by the Controller and/or CFO

Required Qualifications:

·      Business degree with a major in accounting preferred

·      Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-company environment

·      Experience with Yardi Property Management software and/or property management/property development industry experience an asset

·      Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook

·      Professional communication skills, both verbal and written

·      Ability to manage a high workload with excellent time management

·      Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

·      Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong sense of personal responsibility and reliability

·      Ability and desire to work as part of a team
