Store Manager

The Fishin' Hole - South Edmonton

At The Fishin' Hole, we're proud to have been serving anglers across Western Canada since 1975. With five retail locations supported by our Head Office and Distribution Centre in Edmonton, we're committed to the angling community through knowledgeable service, quality products, and a shared passion for the outdoors. Whether customers are shopping in-store or online, our service is second to none.

The Store Manager is responsible for the day to day operations and ensuring a high standard of customer service. This is a hands-on position that requires flexibility, initiative, and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and manage all store operations, including customer service, sales, inventory, merchandising, and administration.
  • Drive store sales and gross margin performance to meet and exceed budgeted targets.
  • Recruit, train, and build a high-performing team of Store Associates.
  • As a key-holder, ensure on time opening and closing of the store.
  • Ensure day-to-day business operational and administrative tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Maintain accurate inventory management, movement, and replenishment.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure financial accuracy and accountability.
  • Maintain highest level of store presentation and exceptional merchandising standards.
  • Resolve customer concerns and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Make informed decisions that reflect the best interest of the customer, team, and company.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement new solutions with the support of the Head Office and Operations team.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the success of the store and company.
