Job Summary 

The Metal Enclosed Switchgear (MES) Department of S&C Electric Canada is in search of an Electrical or Computer Engineering Student. The successful candidate will be working with Engineering Team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in MV Switchgear design and Protection & Control system design etc.

Work Term: Winter 2026 (Jan - Apr 2026)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 Days on-site)

Job Responsibilities 

  • Upgrade and maintain process software used for MES design and production control, which is developed with Visual Basics.
  • Assist the engineering team in preparing drawings and wiring diagrams as needed.


Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an Electrical or Computer Engineering degree program.
  • Available to work the Winter 2026, 4 month co-op work term.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Fast-learner with an aptitude for learning other company-specific software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft software, specifically Excel, Word and MS Project.
  • Programming Skill with Visual Basics or C++ required.
  • Knowledge of other software languages would be an asset.
