REDI Enterprises Society is presently seeking a fulltime Inclusive Employment Strategist for the Medicine Hat REDIworks division with a wage of $24.75/hour, this opportunity is subject to and dependent on the approval of necessary grant funding. This position will support employers to achieve successful workforce planning and development outcomes by supporting employers to navigate job design, recruitment, onboarding, and labour market services in accordance with relevant employment legislation and human resources best practices. In this role you will:

  • Conduct job demands analysis through observations, reviewing documentation, and interviews
  • Assist with developing updated, accurate and comprehensive job descriptions
  • Assist employers with recruitment by screening candidates, preparing suitability summaries, coordinating interviews and guiding employers in applying inclusive hiring practices by helping structure interview questions, reduce bias, and build evaluation methods that focus on job requirements
  • Support employers with setting realistic labour market expectations, including compensation benchmarking, candidate sourcing, and industry-specific hiring techniques
  • Deliver training and coaching for supervisors and mentors through workshops and one-on-one sessions on recruitment, onboarding, and retention best practices

What you bring

The Inclusive Employment Strategist will excel at providing hands-on support to employers, demonstrating an ability to conduct detailed job demands analysis and create accurate, inclusive job descriptions. They must be proficient in all stages of the employee life cycle, from guiding bias-reduced recruitment and candidate screening to developing structured, adaptable onboarding plans that ensure compliance and inclusivity. The candidate should be an effective trainer and coach, capable of delivering workshops and one-on-one sessions, and must possess strong consultation skills to advise on compensation benchmarking, labour market expectations, accommodations, and retention strategies, all while maintaining records and documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education in a relevant discipline, such as Human
  • Minimum of five to ten years of relevant experience, or suitable combination of education and experience
  • First Aid – Level C/CPR certificate
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License and access to a vehicle with $2 million liability insurance
  • Computer literacy and well-developed writing skills related to position requirements
  • Clean criminal record with vulnerable sector or one acceptable to the Executive Director
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales techniques related to employment development
  • Understanding of workplace skills and ability to support their development

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $24.75 per hour
