Location: Community Daycare Placement (various)Assignment Type: TemporaryFTE: 0.43 - 0.86Assignment Duration: November 17, 2025 - June 26, 2026 Primary Duties:Implement strategies and activities developed by specialists (e.g., speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, or inclusive learning teachers).Support children’s development in areas such as:Communication and languageSocial-emotional regulationFine and gross motor skillsCognitive and early literacy/numeracy skillsIndependence and self-help skills (e.g., dressing, toileting, transitions)Work closely with consultants, therapists, and the classroom teacher to carry out programming recommendations.Participate in team meetings, progress reviews, and professional development when appropriate.Communicate regularly with the supervising teacher or inclusion coordinator about progress and challenges.Adapt materials or modify activities to meet the child’s needs while keeping them engaged with peers.Promote positive social interactions and model appropriate behaviors.Assist with routines (snack, circle time, outdoor play, etc.) in ways that build children’s independence. Technical Skills Required:Must have good organizational skills and be capable of working in a multi-task, team-oriented environment.Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with school staff and students.Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments (SIVA) training is an asset.
