We're currently seeking a Casual Audiologist I to join our Allied Health Community Audiology program within the Edmonton Zone. This position offers the opportunity to work out of one of several community-based sites, located in Edmonton and the surrounding area. As a Community Audiologist, you'll provide services to clients of all ages—from infants (6 months+) to seniors—focusing on assessment, prevention, early identification, and intervention for hearing loss. You'll also offer recommendations, follow-up care, and may supervise therapy assistants and hearing screeners. This role includes a robust orientation and ongoing practice support, ensuring you feel confident and connected from day one. You'll be part of a larger Edmonton Zone team that values patient- and family-centered care and supports professional growth. Description:
As an Audiologist, you will be working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, where you will be responsible for the screening, identification, assessment and management of patients (clients) presenting with hearing and balance (vestibular) disorders. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will be important to you in supervising students and providing clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate. You will use your clinical expertise to inform program development and planning. You will interpret findings, provide counselling regarding hearing loss and balance dysfunction, and establish appropriate intervention plans to manage and reduce the functional impact of hearing loss. You will provide patients, their families and other professionals with information and recommendations; making referrals to other agencies and professionals as required.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Audiology. Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Must possess strong assessment, communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated problem-solving, planning and organizational skills. Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills. Must be able to be self-directed and to work effectively both independently and as a part of a collaborative team. Must possess a sound understanding of the community and the determinants of health. Proficiency with various computer applications including word processing, e-mail, and electronic medical records. Must demonstrate a strong patient/family centered approach to care.
