Director of Fundraising

About the Role

  • As Director of Fundraising, you'll develop and implement a multi-year strategy to ensure VegOttawa's financial sustainability. You'll lead donor engagement, grant writing, and campaign coordination—working closely with our board, volunteers, and partners to grow our impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a diversified fundraising strategy (individual giving, major gifts, grants, events, sponsorships, online appeals)
  • Create annual fundraising plans and revenue targets; report progress to the board
  • Cultivate donor and funder relationships; manage a robust donor pipeline
  • Oversee grant research, proposal writing, compliance, and reporting
  • Lead fundraising campaigns and donor events in collaboration with Events and Marketing
  • Develop stewardship programs and ensure timely donor communications
  • Maintain accurate donor records and ensure data privacy
  • Align sponsorships and fundraising asks with Business Partnerships
  • Train and support fundraising volunteers and staff

What You Bring
