Superheat's commitment to advancing heat treatment is in our people. We are always looking for talented, innovative, and enthusiastic individuals to support the clients we serve and share our passion to continually push the industry. The Accounting Assistant is responsible for providing support to various functions and staff as needed within the Accounting department.  Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist accounting department with account payables and receivables.Process monthly and quarterly reconciliations.Back up for payroll to process employee expenses.Handle invoicing as directed.Review and vet purchase ordersProvide analysis and interpretation of accounting records for management. Provide back up for processing of manual expense payments, upload of employee expense payments.Assist with inventory for Superheat Technologies (Administration, Invoicing, Reconciliation).Balance intercompany accounts. Assist with rental and leasing across the companies.Audit Accounts as requested by Assistant ControllerOrganize and monitor state tax filing schedule in conjunction with Assistant Controller May assist in analysis and interpretation of accounting records by management.Provide relief support for coworkers/other departments as needed.Assist with power point presentation preparation for management as directed.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities RequiredDemonstrated attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness.Ability to work independently and as a team member.Superior communication and organizational skills.High level computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.Excellent troubleshooting skills. Work Experience and Educational Requirements1 year of experience preferred.Post-secondary education in a related field.Accounting designation or working towards is considered an asset.Completion of accounting courses or relative work experience.This is a hybrid role, with 3 days of work in our Sarnia office required weekly.
