Position Summary: Reporting to the Director, Supply Planning, the Manager, has the responsibility to ensure the supply network will sustain the demand from the market in the most efficient way. The Manager, Supply Planning is responsible for analyzing and communicating network capacity constraints to the Supply Chain, Supply Planning team. This position will optimize supply to support commercial plan, incorporating capacity planning into the S&OP Process. This position will also establish the most effective supply network and planning strategy to ensure proper product availability and collaborate across the Supply Chain to deliver sustainable competitive advantage for the company, their customers, and suppliers. You are a team player who can build strong relationships across all lines of business both internally and externally. You are comfortable supporting multiple high-priority tasks concurrently, challenging the status quo and seeking alternative perspectives, and you thrive in fast-paced, high-energy working environments. Key Accountabilities: Play a strategic role in the analysis and communication of production line capacity over time; Understand and influence the planning parameter and assumptions to optimize inventory level at all time; Responsible for analyzing and communicating network capacity; Ensure the supply network will sustain the demand from the market in the most efficient way; Plays a strategic role in the analysis and communication of production line capacity including decisions that need to be escalated; Understands and influences the planning parameters and assumptions i.e production cycle time, sequencing, volatility, optimizing inventory levels, changeovers, throughputs, stock-building, warehouse constraints; Manages Finished Foods (FG's) stock policy using inventory models by stock holding location; Understands major customer requirements and works closely with supply chain counterparts to make improvements; Creates contingency plans and scenarios to support new product launches, product exits, line start up, etc.; Oversees creation of schedules, considers constraints e.g line capacity, labour, batch sizes, run rates, bottlenecks, planned downtime. Oversee the creation of Master Production Schedules and finite schedules considering constraints and bottleneck; Determine and ensure execution of deployment strategies for Finished Goods (i.e. push vs pull). Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in production planning/ Master production scheduling/ capacity management in FMCG companies; Minimum 5 years' experience in Supply Chain Management; Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Industrial Engineering or other business related field; Preference to Candidates with experience in Fresh Food business; Preference to Candidates with experience in system implementation and supply optimization.Sofina Foods Inc. is committed to providing accessible employment practices that are in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act ('AODA').
