Hillside
Pines, a 50-bed long term care facility located in Bridgewater N.S. is seeking
a maintenance worker. Duties include the maintenance of the building,
equipment, and grounds of Hillside Pines. The person will ensure the latest
technology, procedures, and innovations are used to enhance the Elder's
environment.

 QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Clear understanding of Microsoft is
    required, Word, Excel, Outlook.  
  • Grade 12 or equivalent, a skilled trade
    certificate would be an asset.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of
    general maintenance procedures including equipment repairs and electronic preventive
    maintenance programs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of electrical, plumbing,
    HVAC, heating systems, building structures and environmental control
    systems.
  • Must be able to follow verbal, written,
    and electronic instructions.
  • Must be able to perform the physical
    requirements of the job.
  • Must be able to work in a health care
    setting, particularly with the elderly.
  • Must have a class 4 license or willing
    to obtain.
  • Demonstrate organizational and time
    management skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and
    without direct supervision.
