As the Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering comprehensive communications strategies that connect employees, strengthen the company's brand, and support its growth. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution. Externally, you will help create a strong, consistent brand narrative. Internally, you will ensure employees are informed, engaged, and aligned.

As the Communications Manager, you will be responsible for:
Strategy and LeadershipDevelop and deliver a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy that aligns with organizational goals and corporate objectives.Solicit input and secure cross-functional buy-in to support a well-executed communications strategy, including vendor engagement or future team development.Manage external vendors, creative partners, and media relationships to support high-quality, impactful communications.Advise senior leaders on communication best practices and opportunities to strengthen the company's brand and employee engagement.Provide coaching and communication guidance to leaders and subject matter experts.Monitor communication effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.Work closely with HR, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, and Operations to align messaging, share insights, and coordinate communications initiatives. Ensure all external and internal messaging reflects compliance with industry standards and corporate values.External CommunicationsDevelop and deliver external messaging that strengthens brand presence while showcasing sustainability and responsible practices.Develop and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistent voice, tone, and visual identity across materials and channels.Craft press releases, articles, website content, and executive messaging that highlight company milestones, product innovations, and community impact.Support the development of major corporate publications and public-facing materials, such as annual or impact reports, community updates, and project summaries.Oversee updates and enhancements to the corporate website, ensuring information is relevant, current, and aligns with corporate objectives.Develop and lead digital content creation, media engagement, and public relations initiatives.Support proposal writing and public communications for funding, partnership, or industry initiatives, as required.Lead or support crisis communications planning and respond as needed.Internal CommunicationsDevelop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement across a diverse, global workforce.Partner with the sustainability and operations teams to communicate the company's environmental and innovation initiatives in clear, credible ways.Lead planning and content for corporate intranet, newsletters, and leadership town halls, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging.Collaborate with HR and business leaders to communicate initiatives, company values, and promote organizational priorities and change.Apply change management principles to help employees understand, adapt to, and embrace organizational change in a positive, informed way.Support communications around employee engagement surveys, culture programs, and organizational updates.Recommend and optimize tools and channels that improve reach, feedback, and engagement.You have...7+ years of progressive internal and external communications experience.Proven experience navigating complex, global organizations within regulated or industrial sectors.Experience with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices in an industrial organization is considered an asset.Skilled at cross-functional collaboration, building and executing company-wide communications strategies and securing leadership alignment.Strong expertise in brand management, stakeholder engagement, and media relations.Collaborative, self-directed, and pragmatic, with a results-focused approach.Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills; adept at translating technical concepts into clear, engaging content.Experience managing multiple communication channels, including intranet, newsletters, and digital platforms.Experience with creative design, digital content, and social media management.An understanding of change management principles and the ability to communicate effectively to support positive organizational change.Strong project management and organizational skills, balancing strategy with day-to-day execution.French fluency is considered an asset.Additional detailsAnnual Salary: $107,000–$160,000Full-time, hybrid role with occasional travel across North America and Asia Pacific.Includes three weeks' vacation, health benefits, pension plan, and more.Interested in applying for this role?
