What do Pre-Board Screening Officers do?

You will use your strong customer service skills to uphold the safety of passengers and create a positive travel experience by:

efficiently screening passengers and baggage through airport security checkpointsproviding information professionally and with integrityconfirming valid boarding passesscanning/testing baggage for prohibited items usings X-ray machines, metal detectors and other technologyprotecting restricted areasupholding all regulations with vigilance

What you bring to PASS:

You are 18 or olderYou have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)You are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of CanadaYou are able to obtain a Transport Security Clearance and have a no unpardoned criminal recordYou have fluency in English (verbal and written). Fluency in French is considered a strong asset - preference is given to Bilingual CandidatesYou are able to comply with the CATSA medical requirementsYou have demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, preferably in a high-volume environment for a minimum of one yearYou are available to work any shift as required by the airport operation. This will include early morning, day, late evening, nights, weekends and statutory holidaysPhysical Requirements of the role include but are not limited to: Visual (including colour) and hearing acuity, ability to lift/push/pull items up to 10kg, bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling and standing/walking/sitting for periods up to 2 hours.
