Transdev is now hiring a Dispatcher & Office Administrator for our Yellowknife, NWT location
As the Dispatcher & Customer Service Coordinator, you will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly and ensuring exceptional service delivery. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, drivers, and partners, balancing real-time coordination, administrative accuracy, and responsive communication.
Your Role:
- Answer incoming calls and provide clear, accurate information to customers regarding schedules, routes, and services.
- Dispatch YATS drivers and vehicles efficiently to meet service demands while maintaining on-time performance.
- Monitor real-time vehicle locations and communicate with drivers to address operational changes or challenges.
- Coordinate with schools, school boards, and clients to ensure seamless service delivery and timely updates.
- Support day-to-day administrative activities, maintaining accurate records of communications, trips, and dispatch operations.
- Provide coaching and guidance to drivers to promote service excellence and adherence to safety and company standards.
- Prepare operational and performance reports to support management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance dispatch systems, optimize routing, and improve overall service efficiency.
- Follow all Transdev standards, policies, and procedures, while upholding a culture of safety, professionalism, and respect.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the operation.

Your Profile:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in administrative support or dispatch operations, ideally within transportation, logistics, or customer service environments.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and a customer-focused approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn new software and dispatch systems.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation, data entry, and record keeping.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Familiarity with Yellowknife's geography and local transportation routes is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering quality customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Your location:
- This is a full-time, non-union, on-site position based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
- The schedule consists of 8-hour daytime shifts, Monday to Friday, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
