Accounts Administrator / Bookkeeper

to oversee the financial operations at a local adventure company

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Flexible schedule working either full or part time, year round from Whistler Office in Function Junction.
  • Wage of $28 – $30 per hour negotiable, based on experience.
  • Employee Health Benefits.
  • 2 weeks paid vacation for the first year, 3 weeks after 1 year.
  • Supports Spirit pass for Whistler Blackcomb.

THE PERFECT CANDIDATE:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration (preferred).
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian accounting practices, tax remittances, and payroll regulations.
  • Knowledge of BC employment standards and HR best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare and file monthly GST/PST returns with the Canada Revenue Agency.
  • Process semi-monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with BC employment standards.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including payroll setup, ROEs, Employee Health Benefits and record maintenance.
