Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate South Indian Cook, specializing in Kerala-style cuisine, to join our culinary team. This role is essential to ensuring authentic and high-quality South Indian meals are prepared and served efficiently. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in traditional Kerala cooking, a deep understanding of South Indian spices and ingredients, and a commitment to food safety and excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook authentic Kerala-style dishes, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian items.
  • Follow traditional recipes and cooking methods to maintain consistency and authenticity.
  • Assist in planning menus featuring Kerala and South Indian specialties.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients, particularly regional spices and fresh produce.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Serve food with a friendly, professional demeanor and assist with customer inquiries when required.
  • Monitor kitchen inventory and notify management of shortages or necessary restocking of essential South Indian ingredients.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations, especially during peak service hours.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety regulations and kitchen protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a cook or chef specializing in South Indian, particularly Kerala-style cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of regional ingredients, traditional cooking methods, and food safety practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
