Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, including meats, vegetables, and seafood, according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and surrounding kitchen areas.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection.
  • Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as needed.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques, particularly grilling methods.
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations is essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
