About Us

Almira Cabinets is an expanding cabinetry manufacturing company specializing in custom kitchens, closets, vanities, millwork, and large-scale residential projects. We're looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee the daily manufacturing workflow and ensure efficient, high-quality cabinet production from design to assembly.

This role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of woodworking processes, and hands-on experience with Mozaik, CNC programming, and interpreting engineering drawings.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management

  • Oversee day-to-day production operations from design to finishing and assembly.
  • Coordinate shop staff, assign tasks, and manage production schedules.
  • Ensure deadlines are met for multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Maintain efficient workflow across cutting, machining, edge-banding, assembly, and installation prep.
  • Implement quality control checks at each stage of manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure smooth operation of all equipment.

Mozaik Design & CNC Programming

  • Create or modify cabinet designs in Mozaik as needed.
  • Prepare production files including:
  • CNC cut lists
  • Nesting layouts
  • Hardware reports
  • Part labels
  • Program and operate CNC machines specifically for woodworking/cabinetry.
  • Verify G-code outputs and ensure accuracy before running jobs.
  • Maintain CNC tool settings, cutter schedules, and maintenance logs.

Engineering & Technical Skills

  • Interpret architectural, shop, and engineering drawings accurately.
  • Translate drawings into production-ready data and instructions.
  • Prepare material breakdowns, panel sizes, hardware requirements, and assembly notes.
  • Assist in material optimization to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Work with estimators and designers to confirm feasibility of constructions.

Team Coordination & Communication

  • Communicate with installers, designers, and management to ensure project alignment.
  • Train staff on proper machining, assembly, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure all safety regulations and shop protocols are followed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cabinetry manufacturing or millwork production.
  • Strong proficiency in Mozaik (designing, cut lists, nesting).
  • Hands-on experience programming and operating CNC routers for woodworking.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, architectural plans, and technical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of cabinet construction methods (frameless preferred).
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs and production priorities.
  • Problem-solving mindset and high attention to detail.

Assets (Not Required but Helpful)

  • Experience with shop supervision or leadership.
  • Knowledge of edge banding, dowel construction, hardware systems, and assembly workflows.
  • Experience in large-scale commercial or multi-unit cabinetry production.
  • Familiarity with maintenance of woodworking machinery.
