Job description

Wilride Transport Ltd. is looking for a Safety and Compliance Administrator. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, detail-oriented, and have a proven track record in administration within the safety and compliance department of a trucking company, we want to hear from you. Please note this is a Monday-Friday in-office position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage permitting processes to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Oversee Hours of Service (HOS) compliance and provide support with ELDs (both within Canada and USA)
  • Manage truck dashcams
  • Conduct quarterly Abstract and CVOR reviews to ensure driver compliance.
  • Coordinate and conduct random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with regulations.
  • Manage accident reporting and documentation, including incident reporting for insurance claims.
  • Report and coordinate insurance claims
  • Track and follow up on traffic violations, incidents, and claims
  • Audit driver logs; provide coaching or discipline as needed
  • Ensure driver compliance with safety standards and promote safe driving practices.
  • New staff orientations
  • Maintain and update driver binders with all necessary documentation.
  • Monitor and renew driver, vehicle, and company credentials
  • Manage driver safety training
  • Manage driver files
  • Coach and monitor driver performance to support continuous improvement and safety adherence
  • Act as the escalation point for driver safety concerns and unresolved issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Stay current with federal and provincial safety regulations

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of safety and compliance administration experience in a trucking company
