We are seeking a passionate and skilled Tandoor Chef to join our vibrant culinary team As a Tandoor specialist, you will be the heart of our kitchen, bringing authentic flavors to life through expertly preparing and cooking dishes using traditional clay ovens. Duties

  • Prepare a variety of dishes using the tandoor oven, including bread, meats, vegetables, and specialty items, ensuring authentic flavors and presentation standards are met.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the tandoor oven, adhering to safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Follow recipes and portion controls meticulously to ensure consistency across all dishes served.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures carefully to achieve optimal results while preventing overcooking or undercooking.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking ingredients and supplies related to tandoor cooking, notifying management of shortages or needs.
  • Uphold food safety standards by practicing proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures throughout all stages of food preparation.
  • Contribute ideas for menu development inspired by traditional recipes or innovative culinary trends.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with tandoor ovens or similar traditional cooking methods in a professional kitchen setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian or Middle Eastern cuisine is highly desirable.
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
  • Attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
  • Good communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A proactive attitude with enthusiasm for learning new techniques and recipes related to tandoor cooking.
