As a Tandoor Cook at Barkat Restaurant, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of tandoori dishes to perfection. Operating our traditional tandoor oven, you will showcase your expertise in grilling meats, seafood, and vegetables, infusing them with authentic Indian flavors. **Responsibilities**:
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring proper temperature and cooking conditions.
- Prepare a range of tandoori dishes, including tandoori chicken, kebabs, naan bread, and grilled vegetables.
- Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables using traditional Indian spices and flavorings.
- Skewer and grill items in the tandoor oven, monitoring cooking times for optimal flavor and texture.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure timely preparation and delivery of tandoori dishes.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining cleanliness in the tandoor area and following proper sanitation procedures.
- Assist in inventory management and stock control for tandoor-related ingredients and supplies.
- Contribute ideas for menu development and innovation, bringing creativity and passion to our culinary offerings.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Tandoor Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering environment.
- should have atleast 1 year of experince as curry cook.
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine and tandoori cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Food Handler's Certificate or equivalent certification preferred.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 45 per week
