Your role on our team:
The Leasing Consultant serves to guide prospective residents through the rental process while providing best-in-class customer service.

In This Role, You Will

  • Responds to rental inquiries via various channels.
  • Enters leads in CRM, ensuring accurate traffic data and reporting.
  • Conducts comparison shops with competitors.
  • Meets/exceeds monthly rental goals.
  • Interview prospective residents to determine needs and promote suitable Minto products.
  • Tours prospects through properties, suites, and amenities.
  • Invites and assists with online applications, overcoming objections.
  • Verifies applicant suitability (credit/income checks).
  • Collects rent deposits (varies by province).
  • Optimizes occupancy.
  • Ensures properties and vacant suites are "show-ready."
  • Manages "walk-in" prospects, answers inquiries, and assesses needs.
  • Greets clients at the rental office.
  • Maintains knowledge of Minto products and communities.
  • Collaborates with marketing and revenue management to optimize media use and trends.
  • Encourages renewals from existing residents.
  • Provides feedback on leasing incentives and rental rates.
  • Adheres to applicable legislation (Health and Safety, WHMIS, AODA, PIPEDA, Human Rights).
  • Performs other duties as requested.

We Would Like You To Have

  • High School Diploma is required. Post-secondary education in a sales or marketing discipline would be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of sales experience
  • Rental Property Management License with BCFSA
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Yardi is considered an Asset
  • Valid Driver's license and vehicle is preferred
  • High energy with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
