Job Summary

Kitchen Helper and cook:

Assist with food preparation, basic cooking tasks, and kitchen organization

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Assist in meal preparation, including cutting vegetables, marinating proteins, and preparing sauces.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage practices.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours.
  • Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
  • Participate in regular training sessions on food safety and culinary techniques to enhance skills.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Familiarity with the food industry, particularly in meal preparation and food service, is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen setting.
