Dragonfly Maternity is a consignment boutique, fitness studio, and event space that provides support & connection for moms and families. We are looking for a crew member to support our shop operations for flexible shifts.

Enjoy easy access to our north central location with free parking and convenient public transit routes; and receive 25% retail crew member discount as well as member access to our studio classes.

Must be able to commute to our north central location on Centre Street & 20 Ave North; shifts are in-person at our storefront.

Punctuality, reliability, attention to detail and strong communication skills are a requirement for this position with our crew.

Retail operational hours are as follows:

  • Wednesdays - Fridays: 10am - 6pm (open late on Thursdays til 7pm)
  • Saturdays: 11am - 6pm
  • Sundays: 12pm - 530pm

*Please note: shifts are scheduled 15mins before & after operating hours for opening & closing duties.

Typical shifts range from 3 - 5 hours in duration. From time to time, a longer shift may be scheduled, in which a paid 30min break is extended. Shifts are typically scheduled by the management team a few weeks in advance; and additional shifts may become available for extra coverage depending on the schedules of other team members from week to week. As part of the interview and on-boarding process, qualified candidates will have the opportunity to discuss availability with management for scheduling purposes.

This role is perfect for a quick learner who is a friendly "people person", has a passion for fashion and a nurturing nature for mamas. Motherhood experience would be a strong asset for connecting with our clientele, as the ability to connect with expecting mamas and meet the needs of our customers are qualities that we're looking for — the customer experience at our consignment boutique is of utmost importance.

Retail experience would be a benefit, but not a requirement.

Shop tasks would involve:

  • thorough knowledge of our inventory
  • customer assistance and sales transactions
  • prepping and organizing inventory, and processing clothing in-takes (data entry, laundering, steaming, barcoding, racking)
  • cleaning tasks around the shop
  • prepping promotional packages
  • opening & closing responsibilities*, with the potential for future expansion of the role, pending capabilities of the individual.

*independent opening & closing shifts would be extended once both parties (management and crew member) are comfortable with performance and shop operations, at the discretion of management team.

Hourly wage starting at $16/hr, and negotiable depending on individual's abilities, skills and experience.
