We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will help maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of industrial equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and is comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with production and operational teams. This role requires analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset to support production and internal stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to identify wear, damage, or repair needs.
  • Service machines including conveyors, palletizers, wrappers, depalletizers, labelers, and related equipment.
  • Complete production line assignments while maintaining strict safety standards.
  • Maintain and repair PLC, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical machinery.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and associated hardware with minimal supervision.
  • Support operators during equipment malfunctions and collaborate to resolve issues.
  • Assist in training and development of team members.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Integrated Management Systems (Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP).
  • Follow all rules and policies regarding health, safety, environmental, and food regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance (plant, warehouse, or manufacturing environment) preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification is an asset.
  • Experience with blow molding machines (Blowmax experience considered an asset).
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems and mechanical tools.
  • Comfortable using Redzone or similar production tracking systems.
  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits is preferred.
  • Electromechanical competency (sensors, drives, HMI, etc.) is an asset.
  • Trade license is an asset.
  • Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and identify parts.
  • Ability to stand or move for extended periods and perform hands-on tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
