Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques and mechanical skills. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and the use of hand and power tools to ensure precise and high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. The Welder/Fitter will play a critical role in constructing structural components, and other assemblies for construction and manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Fit and weld large industrial lifting equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Assist in mechanical assembly of related technologies
  • Skilled in MCAW, FCAW and SAW processes, SMAW
  • Ensure O'Brien Source's safety policies and procedures are always followed
  • Complete daily timesheets
  • Works independently as well as in a team environment
  • Utilizes problem solving skills
  • Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair technology
  • Other duties as assigned

This position offers an opportunity for skilled welders and fitters to contribute to complex projects requiring precision craftsmanship. Candidates should be detail-oriented with strong mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
