General Summary

The Supervisor, Business Management, is responsible for the collection and analysis of KCA's Dealer Financial Statements to monitor performance and stability of Kia's dealership network.  Through financial analysis and risk assessment, this position will make corrective action recommendations with respect to dealerships' overall and department-specific operations.  This position works with KCA's regional teams and dealership Controllers on financial statement accuracy and submissions.

In addition, the Supervisor, Business Management, will be responsible for maintaining and managing several dealership motivational programs based on multiple department KPIs.  As such, this position requires strong cross-functional communication, vendor management, and project management skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


•    Collect, analyze and provide monthly Financial Statement data for individual and group composites.  Address any issues by contacting Dealer Accounting personnel directly.  Provide Financial Statement information to internal staff upon request

•    Consult with Dealership Accountants to improve the accuracy of their financial statements and timely submission of same

•    Review and monitor Kia Canada dealer network performance & profitability and identify gaps, trends and improvement opportunities

•    Provide training and support to KCA field staff and Kia dealers with financial statement analysis; identify operational opportunities

•    Manage the department's internal/external reporting requirements

•    Administer and manage KCA's dealership motivational programs – annual President's Award, Kia Dealer Excellence Program – and dealer performance programs

•    Manage key department initiative, including, but not limited to: ePlan (dealer business plan), Financial Statement changes, GM Certification Program, Dealer Workshops

•    Communicate series of data analysis to senior management through clear and concise presentations, influencing strategic decisions

•    Evaluate existing systems and practices; propose changes and enhancements

•    Manage corporate partnerships with key vendors

•    Coaching and development of one direct report (Analyst, Business Management)

Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Education Requirement


•    Excellent written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills

•    Above average analytical and presentation skills

•    Strong literacy of MS Office products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) and standard Windows applications

•    Min. five years of automotive work experience, ideally in the areas of sales/planning/business management/after sales

•    Working knowledge of Financial Statements

•    French is considered an asset, but not required
