The Opportunity

As
Director, Business Intelligence
, you will lead the development and execution of Concord National LLP's BI strategy. You will oversee our data ecosystem such as Point-Of-Sale (POS), shipment data, syndicated sources (NielsenIQ), and CRM platforms. You will also ensure reporting consistency across the organization. Your mission: enhance data quality, streamline reporting, and deliver insights that create client value and unlock new growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with Client Management, National Accounts, Retail Operations and the Executive Team to align analytics with business priorities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small BI team, fostering curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support client-facing teams with insights for planning sessions, business reviews, and performance deep dives.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Oversee dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools, ensuring accuracy, usability, and relevance.
  • Standardize KPI definitions and data structures across clients and business units.
  • Translate POS, shipment, CRM and syndicated data into actionable insights that strengthen client relationships.
  • Maintain and enhance Power BI reports and data models across multiple clients.

Data Operations & Governance

  • Manage the BI ecosystem including CRM software, Power BI, and integrated data sources.
  • Support scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models in partnership with technical resources.
  • Implement data governance standards and maintain strong data quality practices.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and reduce operational load.
  • Enhance existing reports and processes for efficiency and reliability.
  • Introduce new visualization techniques to improve data storytelling.

Stakeholder Support & Business Impact

  • Provide analytical support for client meetings, annual planning, and new business pitches.
  • Interpret performance trends, pricing shifts, and promotional effectiveness using CPG frameworks.
  • Quantify the business impact of insights and reporting improvements.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • 5–7 years in BI, data analytics, or data management, preferably in CPG, retail, or brokerage.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Power BI (DAX, data modeling)
  • CRM platforms (e.g., StayinFront)
  • Syndicated data (NielsenIQ, Circana)
  • SQL and ETL/ELT tools (Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, DBT, Databricks)
  • Experience building dashboards and improving reporting processes.
  • Comfortable in a hybrid strategic/technical role.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong communicator who can translate technical concepts into business insights.
  • Skilled at presenting to non-technical audiences and supporting client-facing discussions.
  • Solid understanding of retail math and CPG analytics.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
