We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team.

Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments for multiple condominium corporations, while using our online accounts payable system. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing a high volume of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and process invoices for accuracy, coding, and proper approvals.
  • Ensure that all appropriate back-up has been attached to the uploaded invoices.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.
  • Prepare electronic payments and cheque runs in accordance with company policy and internal controls.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, or outstanding balances.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end processes, including accruals as may be required.
  • Support the accounting team and management with ad hoc reporting as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting (property management experience an asset).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with accounting systems such as AvidXchange and / or Yardi considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
