Manager - Private Enterprise

About the role

We're currently looking for a Manager – Private Enterprise to work from our Victoria office to support and lead engagements for owner-managed and private businesses across Vancouver Island and beyond.

This role combines meaningful client relationships, hands-on leadership, and technical excellence all backed by the depth and resources of one of Western Canada's leading independent firms.

How you'll make a difference

Lead and execute assurance and tax engagements

You'll oversee Compilation and Review engagements and finalize corporate and personal tax files ensuring accuracy, clarity, and confidence for our clients at key stages in their business lifecycle.

Be a trusted advisor to Island-based and beyond business owners

You'll build strong relationships, offer proactive advice, and help clients navigate growth, challenges, and opportunities making a meaningful impact in the communities where you live and work.

Develop and mentor emerging CPAs

You'll coach and support intermediate and junior team members, strengthening our growing practice and fostering the next generation of accounting professionals.

Drive practice growth and local presence

You'll bring ideas, leadership, and initiative helping shape our office as it expands, while benefiting from direct partner access and collaboration across the firm.

Who you are

• CPA with ~2+ years of Manager-level experience in a public practice environment
• Strong technical background in ASPE, Compilation and Review engagements, and related tax work
• Extensive experience preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax returns (trusts an asset)
• Proficient with CaseWare and Taxprep; experience with cloud accounting tools (QBO, Sage, etc.) is an asset
• A collaborative leader who values mentorship, teamwork, and cultivating strong client relationships
• Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in growing a practice and contributing to a close-knit, high-performing team
• Bonus: experience in the entertainment or music industry, though not required
