Job Summary

LAD Power & Controls is a Calgary based installer of building automation and HVAC controls specializing in commercial, industrial and multi-residential applications. We are currently seeking self-motivated, skilled Journeyman Electricians to join our team.

Duties & Skills

  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings, specifications and applicable codes to determine wiring layouts.
  • Installation of panel boards, electrical breakers, receptacles and field devices.
  • Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.
  • Pull wire through conduits and/or free air in plenum rated projects.
  • Splicing, joining and connecting wire to form circuits.
  • Ability to distinguish colors to work with color-coded wiring.
  • Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels and fuse enclosures.
  • Install, replace, maintain and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment.
  • Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Working at heights using ladders, platforms and lifts.
  • Working with standard tools such as hand tools, power tools, pipe threaders and conduit benders.
  • Capability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Manual dexterity with excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Willingness to keep up with new developments in the field.
  • Mechanical ability and strength.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and problem solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$40.00 per hour
