In this role, it will be your job to assist our customers in the maintenance, repair, and installation of their electrical systems. We'll ask you to perform these tasks for both commercial and institutional clients. As a journeyman electrician, you will be asked to complete a wide variety of tasks. You should be able to perform inspections and conduct assessments of electrical systems. You should also be able to read blueprints and interpret them in order to determine the best way to resolve the problems in an electrical system. To accomplish all of this, you will need to have a deep familiarity with wiring, commonly-used electrical tools, and various components.   Responsibilities:  

Drive yourself to our job sites and assess their electrical systemsRead and interpret electrical blueprintsUse a variety of tools and techniques to repair and maintain electrical systemsUse your knowledge to determine the best way to install new electrical systemsAnswer any questions that our customers may have about their electrical systems and componentsEnsure that you follow all safety requirements and OSHA guidelines while you work   Requirements:  High school diploma or equivalentValid driver's licenseFormal electrician trainingAbility to use a wide variety of electrician tools and techniquesAbility to interpret electrical blueprints and schematicsStrong customer service skills   While we appreciate all applications we receive, we advise that only candidates under consideration will be contacted.   Ainsworth (a GDI company) is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
