Job Responsibilities

  • Design Execution & Craft

  • Create high-quality visual designs across multiple mediums — digital, web, social presentations, product marketing, and internal communications

  • Translate complex or technical ideas into clear, human-centered visual storytelling
  • Maintain attention to detail and visual polish across all deliverables

  • Brand Expression

  • Apply and evolve the company's brand identity system with consistency and creativity

  • Contribute to brand updates, templates, and guidelines to ensure scalable, coherent design across teams
  • Help ensure all creative reflects the company's tone, values, and design standards

  • Collaboration

  • Work closely with copywriters, producers, and other designers to develop cohesive creative concepts

  • Partner with marketing, product, and comms teams to support campaigns, launches, and key initiatives
  • Participate in creative reviews and contribute ideas constructively

  • Concept Development

  • Brainstorm and develop design concepts that bring strategic ideas to life

  • Translate briefs or loose concepts into strong visual directions and mockups
  • Present work clearly and confidently to internal stakeholders

  • Innovation & Adaptability

  • Explore new design trends, motion, and AI tools relevant to tech and digital experiences

  • Contribute ideas for improving workflows, templates, and design systems
  • Bring curiosity and creative problem-solving to every project

  • Production & Delivery

  • Prepare design assets for production and delivery (for web, social, video, email, print, etc.)

  • Ensure file organization, naming conventions, and accessibility meet team standards
  • Work efficiently within project timelines and manage multiple deliverables

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of BA/BS in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–6 years of design experience, ideally within a tech company or fast-paced in-house creative environment
  • Experience across a range of media — digital, motion, print, and presentation design preferred
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy
  • Ability to translate brand guidelines into dynamic, flexible designs
  • Experience designing for both marketing and product-related touchpoints
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
  • Comfortable with Figma and/or other design collaboration tools
  • Familiarity with motion design, AI design tools, or 3D illustration is a plus
  • Ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback gracefully
  • Strong presentation skills — can explain design choices in clear, strategic language
  • Works well in a cross-functional, collaborative environment
  • Curious, proactive, and adaptable to change
  • Balances creativity with practicality and deadlines
  • Passionate about tech, innovation, and storytelling through design

Additional details:
The typical salary range for this role is $78,000 - $85,000 CAD depending on experience.
