Parts Advisor / Internal Advisor

Thomas Buick GMC is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Parts Advisor / Internal Advisor to join our growing team. If you have strong automotive knowledge, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you

Position Overview

As a Parts Advisor, you will support both internal (service & technician teams) and external customers. You'll ensure accurate parts ordering, maintain inventory, deliver exceptional customer service, and help keep our fixed operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist internal technicians and retail customers with accurate parts selection.

  • Provide pricing, availability, and product information by phone, in person, and via work

orders.

  • Process parts orders, returns, and payments.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy and participate in stock checks.

  • Coordinate parts deliveries and shipments as needed.

  • Keep work areas organized and follow dealership policies and procedures.

  • Troubleshoot parts inquiries and ensure high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Parts Advisor (automotive dealership experience preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of GM parts cataloguing experience an asset.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the dealership.
