Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analysing business processes, developing data-driven solutions, and supporting project management initiatives. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of technical skills, including data analysis, database design, and visualisation tools, to drive strategic decision-making and optimise organisational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse complex business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau and Power BI to facilitate data visualisation and insights.
  • Support project management activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
  • Design, develop, and optimise databases using Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL scripting to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis using R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and other relevant programming languages to identify trends and patterns.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs and recommend technological solutions that align with organisational goals.
  • Create detailed process diagrams and documentation using Visio to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in database design and optimisation to enhance system efficiency and performance.
  • Utilise analysis skills to evaluate existing systems and propose enhancements for better operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within a data-driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), SQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies and project management principles.
  • Extensive experience in business analysis, database design, and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
  • Proficiency in creating visualisations and process diagrams using Visio or similar tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of business analysis best practices, database optimisation techniques, and experience working within Agile environments. Pay: $53,905.38-$102,508.98 per year
