Job Description:

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a 3-month contract engagement. This role will support a series of strategic, AI-adjacent initiatives. While direct AI experience is not required, the ideal candidate will bring strong experience developing business requirements documents (BRDs), business cases, and leading structured requirements-gathering activities. The work will focus on three business initiatives, each requiring clarity, structure, and executive-ready documentation to support informed decision-making and downstream delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring they are complete, clear, and aligned with stakeholder needs
  • Define current-state and future-state workflows, including process mapping and gap analysis
  • Develop use cases, success metrics, and non-functional requirements to guide solution evaluation
  • Support business case development and initiative prioritization
  • Produce high-quality artifacts suitable for executive review and delivery planning
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders and facilitate discussions to drive clarity and alignment

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally supporting data, analytics, or technology-enabled transformation initiatives
  • Strong experience producing BRDs, business cases, workflow diagrams, and executive-level documentation
  • Exceptional requirements-gathering and stakeholder-engagement skills
  • Experience with AI, analytics, or emerging technologies is an asset, but not required
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and creating structure from early-stage concepts
