Asphalt and Construction Sales Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Asphalt and Construction Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive experience in government sales and B2B, and a proven track record in developing strategic sales initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage key accounts, expand market presence, and contribute to the company's long-term success. Candidates with expertise in asphalt oil, asphalt maintenance, road construction and business development are highly encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with company goals
- Manage key client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Identify new business opportunities through market analysis and outreach efforts
- Conduct negotiations with prospective clients to close deals effectively
- Create CRM tools such as Salesforce to track sales activities, forecast revenue, and analyze performance metrics
- Collaborate with team to develop campaigns that generate leads and enhance brand visibility
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to senior management
- Oversee account management activities to ensure consistent service delivery and client engagement
- Stay informed about industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies
- Travel throughout the province of Alberta, Saskatchewan and BC.
Experience
- Proven experience in asphalt and construction sales, with a focus on asphalt distribution and asphalt repair sales.
- Demonstrated success in outside sales, business development, and account management roles
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close complex deals effectively
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar tools for sales tracking and analysis.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data for strategic decision-making
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Prior experience in marketing collaboration is a plus
This position offers an engaging environment for professionals eager to lead a high-performing sales team while contributing significantly to organizational growth. This role will provide a base salary with sales commission on top. Travel for all sales will be required and typically falls within Western Canada.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,466.82-$152,819.15 per year
