ETHGlobal is the largest developer community in crypto. As the usage of blockchain technology grows, the world is going to need more talented engineers, designers, and product leaders to build the future that blockchain technology is promising. We work with exactly these kinds of people every single day through the products we organize for our community. By focusing on this community, we think we can accelerate the transition to a crypto-native digital economy.
Historically, ETHGlobal has been about running hackathons around the world (we've run a hackathon in every continent except Antarctica), and we've been very successful at that. Hundreds of people have found jobs from our events, won millions in prizes, and some have even started businesses worth tens to hundreds of millions of dollars. Today, however, we see a path to be something much larger.
ETHGlobal is about empowering our community to do great things. We're a collection of crypto native engineers, community leaders, event organizers, and investors. Together, we will build the best community platform for technical talent in the entire crypto industry.
ETHGlobal was early in supporting the crypto community and have been doing so since 2017. We're a small team of 14, and we're looking for experienced partnerships managers in the cryptocurrency space who are invigorated by the opportunity to have a major impact on how developers learn and grow in this industry. You must be comfortable dealing with lots of moving pieces; you should have exquisite attention to detail and be comfortable learning new technologies and systems.
You will
Cultivate new and existing relationships with blockchain, cryptocurrency and traditional companies all over the world, finding new ways that ETHGlobal can support their work and goals
Coordinate across all ETHGlobal team members to ensure world class event experiences for supporting sponsors
Create partnerships with industry leading organizations on an event-by-event basis, as well as strong, year-long, multi-faceted partnerships
Bring on partners with fantastic technology and talented mentors to help new and experienced developers create the future of Web3
Represent ETHGlobal with professionalism to the web3 ecosystem and beyond
You may be a fit for this role if
You are a relationship facilitator. Friends come easy to you and business partners even easier. You always do what is best for your client and go the extra mile to make sure they're happy.
You have an ownership mentality. When you take on a task, you get it done. You proactively troubleshoot problems blocking your path, and the problems blocking the paths of others.
You know how to tell a story. Whether it's in a negotiation, a pitch, or a clarifying email, you never lose track of the narrative you're trying to tell and who your audience is.
You're analytical. You look for ways to improve the status quo based on how things are changing around you and adapt quickly to new trends with new ideas and possibilities for the organization.
You're interested in
A full-time position
Fully remote work environment
Occasionally travelling to international locations for physical weekend hackathons (e.g., Tokyo, New York City, Mumbai, or other major cities across the world)
You would excel in this role if you
Have 1-3 years experience in a Business Development, Partnerships, or Community role.
Have a passion and intrinsic interest in crypto and technology
Have experience selling products to crypto companies
Have experience planning events (the bigger the better)
Have a network in crypto
Have a technical background
Have experience attending and participating in hackathons
Have experience managing accounts payable is a plus
Are familiar with payments through wire, Stripe, and crypto is a plus
Perks
Flexible vacation and remote work policy
Stipends for home office improvements, meals and additional remote-work benefits
Competitive salary (option to be paid in cryptocurrency)
At ETHGlobal, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns.
