Job Summary:

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with complex compounders to drive the sales and expansion of Formerra's products and services. This role requires a proactive approach to building and maintaining multi-functional and executive partnerships that enhance customer loyalty, increase revenue, and maximize profitability.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Customer-Centric Selling expertise, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a dynamic, professional presence.

This role is fully remote, based in the Toronto area.

 Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Drive profitable revenue growth through strategic business development.
  • Meet or exceed gross margin targets as a percentage of sales.
  • Utilize Customer-Centric Selling methodologies to enhance effectiveness.
  • Identify, track, and secure new business opportunities aligned with growth goals.
  • Develop and execute account management plans to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering tailored solutions to key decision-makers.
  • Support strategic planning, including forecasting and goal-setting.
  • Expand existing accounts while proactively pursuing new business.
  • Define and execute selling strategies, securing orders and optimizing engagement.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Sales Manager.
  • Implement marketing campaigns and contribute to product strategy.
  • Collaborate with Technical and Customer Service teams to ensure satisfaction.
  • Deliver results through effective execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Plastics or Polymer Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or related discipline. 
  • 10+ years of sales experience in distribution, manufacturing, account management, or related industries.
  • Ability to analyze customer needs and develop strategic solutions.
  • Strong technical aptitude with a broad understanding of materials, solutions, and processing.
  • Professional presence with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of working autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Proven ability to collaborate as a team player while driving individual success.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel; SAP & Salesforce experience highly preferred.
  • Competitive mindset with a strong work ethic, autonomy, and drive for excellence.

Physical Requirements & Work Setting: 

  • Requires remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time, and frequent communication.  
  • Must be able to traverse and operate computer and other office equipment. 
  • Typical work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
  • Travel up to 50% may be required, including overnights.
