The Director, Strategic Finance & Planning plays a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy and long-range planning. This leadership role is responsible for advanced financial modelling, multi-year forecasting, KPI development, and strategic decision support for major initiatives across the business.
The Director partners closely with the CEO and senior leadership to provide forward-looking insights that guide product investment, commercial strategy, workforce planning, and operational prioritization. The role is highly analytical, strategic, and future-focused—working cross-functionally to ensure financial clarity and alignment across all business units.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead development of multi-year financial models and long-range plans.
- Manage driver-based forecasting across revenue, expenses, and workforce planning.
- Conduct scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis for strategic decisions.
- Support annual planning, budgeting cycles, and quarterly reforecasts.
Enterprise Performance & KPI Development
- Design and maintain dashboards that track key performance indicators across Product, Sales, CSX, and Operations.
- Deliver regular performance reporting, variance analysis, and actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities affecting long-term performance.
Strategic Analysis & Decision Support
- Provide financial analysis for major initiatives, including product prioritization, pricing strategies, market expansion, and operational investments.
- Develop business cases and ROI analyses to inform capital allocation decisions.
- Support organizational planning and workforce modelling alongside HR/People.
M&A Support & Integration Modelling
- Conduct financial modelling and due diligence analysis for acquisitions.
- Build integration models to evaluate synergies, cost structures, and revenue impacts.
- Incorporate acquired entities into long-range financial planning.
Financial Modelling, Tools & Data Infrastructure
- Build, maintain, and improve sophisticated financial models and planning tools.
- Strengthen forecasting processes and data accuracy through improved financial systems and BI tools.
- Ensure timely, accurate analysis that supports executive-level decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Technology, Sales, CSX, Operations, and HR to align financial models with strategic plans.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to functional leaders by translating data into clear business insights.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7–12+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, or related fields.
- Experience in SaaS, analytics, technology, or multi-entity environments preferred.
- Strong capabilities in financial modelling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and performance analytics.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership and influencing decisions through data-driven insights.
- Proficiency with financial modelling tools, BI platforms, and planning systems.
- CPA, CFA, MBA, or similar credential is an asset.
Location:

While Remsoft's headquarters are in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and Ottawa, Ontario, we are open to a range of working arrangements for this role. Candidates can work fully remote, in a hybrid setup, or from our office.
