POSITION :

We are seeking a Customs Specialist to join our team at our Toronto branch in Mississauga Ontario

RESPONSIBILITY:

-Prepare, review, and submit all necessary import documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations

  • Maintain accurate records of all imports, including costs, taxes, and other relevant data

  • Ensure compliance with CBSA, CARM, OGDs, and international trade agreements (e.g., USMCA/CUSMA)

  • Classify goods using HS codes and determine duty and tax liabilities

  • Stay updated on changes to Canadian customs laws (Customs Act, CARM Phase 2), CBSA policies, and trade agreements

  • Advise internal teams (logistics, procurement) on customs requirements and cost-saving opportunities

QUALIFICATION:

  • Familiar with Canadian customs regulations (CBSA, CARM, Customs Act), OGD requirements, and HS classification, as well as customs software (e.g., CBSA's eManifest, ACI, CAD) and ERP systems (e.g., Opus, Crimsonlogics)

  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring accuracy and compliance

  • Negotiates and maintains relationships with third-party logistics providers and suppliers

  • Communicates complex regulations clearly and effectively to non-experts through strong verbal and written skills

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Fluent in English and/or Korean

  • Eligible to work in Canada

Salary: Negotiable based on experience.
