Overview

DiFFER Communications Inc. delivers high-speed internet and communications services to multi-family residential and commercial properties. We are seeking a Sales & Installation Support Specialist to play a key role in both customer-facing sales activities and operational support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with residents, managing service delivery logistics, and ensuring every subscriber has a seamless experience from setup to ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing

  • Conduct marketing and direct sales of DiFFER services to residents in multi-family properties.
  • Organize and host tenant information sessions and open houses to promote DiFFER's offerings and educate residents on available services.
  • Maintain and distribute up-to-date marketing materials, ensuring all collateral, contracts, and online portal content are consistent and current.
  • Support marketing initiatives and campaigns, including coordinating with property managers and the DiFFER marketing team.

Customer Setup & Technical Support

  • Assist new subscribers with portal sign-up, equipment setup, and configuration, both in person and remotely.
  • Provide hands-on and remote assistance to subscribers in troubleshooting DiFFER-related technical issues.
  • Monitor the inbox and initiate or follow up on all required actions, including portal-driven service changes.
  • Maintain an accurate and detailed service change log to track customer activity, installations, and updates.

Service Coordination & Administration

  • Schedule, track, and follow to completion all customer requests related to support, installation, service changes, terminations, or "opt-in" activations.
  • Coordinate service adjustments with property managers, particularly in buildings where DiFFER services are collected through rent.
  • Prepare and send communications to tenants regarding service changes, confirmations, and trial terminations.
  • Collaborate with technical and installation teams to ensure timely completion of service requests and accurate system updates.
  • Ensure documentation and data entry are consistent across all platforms and internal systems.

Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Business, Communications, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in sales coordination, customer service, or telecom installation support preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Strong technical aptitude for internet and network service configuration.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and customer portals.
  • Exceptional organization, multitasking, and follow-through abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple teams and clients simultaneously.
