About Us
At Mortgage Fernando, we're redefining the Canadian mortgage experience. Based in downtown Toronto and serving clients across Ontario, we help first-time buyers, homeowners, and investors make smarter mortgage and real estate decisions — with clarity, not confusion.
We're looking for an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join our growing team in person at our Toronto office (Yonge/Dundas).

What You'll Do
- Review and assess mortgage applications submitted by Inside Mortgage Agents.
- Analyze income, credit, and supporting documentation to determine eligibility.
- Structure and recommend solutions aligned with client goals and lender policies
- Ensure all files meet compliance and lender submission standards.
- Prepare e-sign and compliance packages for client approvals.
- Manage lender conditions through to funding.
- Coordinate with appraisers, lawyers, and lenders to ensure a smooth closing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders and partners
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience as a Mortgage Underwriter (brokerage experience preferred)
- Proven ability to manage files from application submission to funding
- Strong communication and client-handling skills — written and verbal
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with technology and comfortable in a Mac-based environment
- Licensed Mortgage Agent or Broker (required)
- Must be able to work on-site at our Toronto office (Yonge/Dundas)
