About the Role

MaKami College is seeking a part time Clinic Instructor to support our Student Clinic operations. This role plays a key part in delivering high quality client care while ensuring Massage Therapy students receive an exceptional, hands on learning experience in a professional clinical environment.

The Clinic Instructor works closely with the Clinic Manager and is involved in the daily supervision, support, and development of students as they practice their massage therapy skills.

Key Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • Assist students with preparing and setting up their assigned stations for clinic.
  • Distribute and track clinic supplies issued to students at the start of each session.
  • Pick up client files from reception and deliver them to the Clinic Supervisor for review before assigning to students.
  • Support students in cleaning and resetting stations between clients.
  • Ensure all signed out supplies are returned and properly stored for the next clinic day.
  • Assist the Clinic Supervisor in overseeing students and responding to student questions and concerns.
  • Provide hands on instruction where appropriate, demonstrating massage therapy techniques that enhance student learning.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of clinic rooms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Review client comment cards with students and offer constructive feedback to support improvement.
  • Motivate and encourage students to practice a diverse range of techniques to maximize hands on experience.
  • Provide guidance and training to student clinic mentors.
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support team members or contribute to college goals.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Massage Therapy from a recognized institution, with a minimum of 2200 hours of training.
  • Registered member in good standing with an approved massage therapy association.
  • Must maintain a valid Practitioner's License.
  • Minimum 4 years of practical, hands on experience as a massage therapist.
  • 1–2 years of clinical or educational experience supporting students is considered an asset.
