What you will do:

As a Senior Simulation Engineer (CFD & Heat Transfer, Virtual Engineering), you will lead advanced simulations for rotating machinery, embedded systems cooling, electric motors, PCB thermal management, and propeller performance. This role combines deep technical expertise with global coordination, working closely with engineering teams worldwide to shape next-generation products.

You'll leverage CFD, heat transfer modeling, multi-disciplinary optimization (MDO), and AI/ML-driven predictive analytics to solve complex thermal and fluid challenges. Your work will directly influence innovation strategies and help integrate virtual engineering into every stage of product development.

Execute CFD and thermal analyses for pumps, propellers, and electric motor cooling systems using tools like Ansys Fluent, Altair AcuSolve, and GT-Suite.

Develop and validate 1D and 3D heat transfer models for PCB cooling and high-power electronics.

Develop and execute system level models of product assemblies, sub-assemblies and vehicle fluid and thermal architectures.

Investigate cavitation phenomena, turbulence modeling, and flow-induced thermal effects.

Apply multi-disciplinary optimization (MDO) and digital twin concepts to improve system-level performance and virtual validation 

Integrate AI/ML techniques for predictive modeling and accelerated simulation workflows.

Collaborate with design, controls, and manufacturing teams to embed simulation insights into product development.

Develop and document multi-physics methodologies and mentor junior engineers on best practices.

What you will bring:

Ph.D. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field.

Demonstrated solid research experience on applied CFD and heat transfer 

3-5 years of industry experience in CFD and thermal analysis for rotating equipment and electronic cooling.

Expertise in heat transfer fundamentals, multi-phase flow, cavitation, and turbulence modeling.

Proficiency in Ansys Fluent, Altair HyperWorks, SimLab, and GT-Suite.

Familiarity with High Performance Computing and parallelization in Linux OS

Familiarity with multi-objective optimization frameworks, digital twin strategies, and AI/ML integration.

Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation and troubleshooting.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred skills:

Experience with embedded systems cooling using Ansys Icepak and multi-physics simulations.

Deep understanding of centrifugal pumps, PD pumps, eMotors and propellers

Knowledge of industry standards for thermal design and CFD best practices.

Ability to lead technical initiatives and develop simulation capabilities within the team.
