Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director, Revenues and Partnerships, the Associate Director, Food and Beverage will manage TFSE's extensive and unique Food and Beverage portfolio, including Langley Events Centre (all facilities), The Redwoods Golf Course, and Aldergrove Community Centre. The Associate Director, Food and Beverage will grow the department and further enhance both customer and community experiences.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the multi-venue Food & Beverage strategy (restaurants, bars, banquets, catering, concessions, food trucks) in alignment with TFSE's overall business objectives
  • Oversee daily operations of all outlets to ensure consistency in service standards, menu quality, cleanliness, safety, and overall guest satisfaction
  • Lead menu and beverage program development in collaboration with executive chefs, F&B managers, and bar leaders to ensure culinary innovation and cost efficiency
  • Manage major events, banquets, and catering operations, ensuring effective cross-venue coordination and staffing
  • Monitor and analyze P&L statements for each outlet; identify variances and implement corrective actions to achieve financial targets
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional programs to drive top-line growth and brand visibility
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of F&B leaders and staff; foster a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all food and beverage operations
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health and safety, liquor licensing, and food handling
  • Oversee capital improvement projects, renovations, and new venue openings
  • Develop supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure inventory control systems are used effectively
  • Collaborate with the Director, Revenues and Partnerships on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of Management experience in restaurants, multi-outlet facilities or similar related experience
  • Experience in multi-property hospitality groups, resort operations, or large-scale event catering environments
  • Proven track record of leading multiple F&B outlets or locations (e.g., hotels, restaurants, resorts, entertainment venues)
  • Experience leading or supporting the opening of a new restaurant (pre-opening planning, staffing, training, and launch operations) considered a strong asset
  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred
  • Willingness to complete a Police Information Check
  • Valid Basic First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification, or equivalent, will be required to be maintained during employment
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract required to be maintained during employment
  • Valid Food Safe Level 1 required to be maintained during employment
  • Valid Serving It Right required to be maintained during employment
