Tired of working indoors in a stuffy hotel or restaurant? The Redwoods Golf Course is hiring for the position of **Supervisor, Food and Beverage**This unique position assists in managing our seasonal restaurant and golf course food and beverage operations, which are open from April to December each year, but will also help to lead our banquet team through a busy year full of weddings, golf tournaments, and banquets.

As Supervisor, Food and Beverage, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day leadership of four food and beverage outlets across the Redwoods facility, including the restaurant and banquets, as well as the on-course food and beverage locations.

**This is a full-time, year-round position with health benefits.** The ideal applicant has both restaurant and banquet experience. Due to the nature of the industry, this position involves working on weekends, holidays and evenings. **Being able to work a varied schedule based on event and operational needs is a requirement.**

Redwoods is a tip-free facility, so there are no tips or gratuities on top of the posted wage.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
- _Schedule, coordinate and supervise staff to ensure department goals are being met_
- _Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction through role modelling and training_
- _Assist in processing department timesheets and coding hours for payroll_
- _Respond to inquiries for food and beverage services for upcoming events and bookings_
- _Review and execute Banquet Event Orders_
- _Ensure standards are met for facility cleanliness_
- _Ensure food quality, presentation and timeliness standards are met_
- _Communicate all equipment issues that need attention or repair_
- _Assist in ongoing recruitment, orientation, training and development of staff_
- _Assist in performance reviews_
- _Monitor inventory levels and complete weekly ordering_
- _Accept and sign for deliveries_
- _Accurately update and use the inventory control system_
- _Continually update and maintain the pricing and items in the POS system_
- _Ensure cashouts and cash drops are accurately completed_
- _Ensure ring-ins are accurately completed for banquets and other events_
- _Other duties as assigned_

**Qualifications**
- _Must be 19 years of age_
- _Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings, is required_
- _Three or more years of food and beverage experience in a similar facility or environment is required_
- _Two or more years of supervisory experience in a similar facility or environment is required_
- _Valid Serving It Right will be required to be maintained during employment_
- _Valid Basic First Aid, CPR-C and AED Certification, or equivalent, will be required to be maintained during employment_
- _Valid Class 5 Driver's License and willingness to provide a Driver's Abstract is required_
- _Willingness to complete a Police Information Check is required_
- _Experience in banquets is an asset_
- _Knowledge of the game of golf is an asset_
- _Completion of post-secondary education in a discipline such as event management, business administration, or another related discipline is an asset_
