A Taleo client is seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience with process improvement projects.

6 months (Contract)

Role Overview

The Business Analyst will be a key contributor to support initiatives within the Client's Business Partnerships team through the collaboration and direction of the IT Business Partners, ensuring all deliverables align with strategic roadmaps and business priorities. The role will work closely with stakeholders across business units, IT and Operations Technology to capture business processes, define future-state needs, that enable successful implementation of technology and process improvements. The successful candidate brings strong process design skills, an understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and risk/compliance in a regulated environment, and a passion for measurable, continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather and create business and project documentation
  • Facilitate scope / requirements elicitation with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Perform business process facilitation and mapping with key business representatives and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to map and optimize processes using BPMN, Visio, or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to clarify requirements and resolve gaps or ambiguities.
  • Assist in mapping current-state and future-state processes to support solution design.
  • Ensure all requirements and deliverables align with the enterprise roadmap and business priorities.
  • Prepare clear documentation and reports for stakeholders and project governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in enterprise technology or process improvement projects.
  • Oil & Gas / Energy / Utilities experience or work in highly regulated industries.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong business requirements gathering, prioritizing and traceability skills.
  • Strong understanding of IT and OT environments and business process modeling.
  • Experience with modernization, innovation and artificial intelligence augmentation are considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in tools such as the MS Office Suite (Excel, Visio, SharePoint) and requirements management platforms.
