Technical Specialist – Field Solutions - Province of Quebec or Ottawa Region (Bilingual French / English)

Position Summary

Reporting to the Support and Services manager of BuildingPoint Canada, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our clients. Your role will involve troubleshooting technical issues, conducting product demonstrations, and providing training to customers on the use of field solutions.

In this role, you will...

  • Providing technical support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to field solutions.
  • Prepare with the sales team and conduct product demonstrations pertaining to customer's needs.
  • Establish scope of work, prepare and deliver online or in person training. Maintain course outlines up to date.
  • Develop new workflows to improve effectiveness using Field solutions
  • Working closely with the sales and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful implementation of field solutions.
  • Keep up with the latest developments in Field solutions, constantly improving technical skills and knowledge to remain informed about industry and technology changes.

About you...

  • You are a Team worker - Accountable - driven to win
  • Experience with field solutions products such as robotic total stations, laser scanners and other related technologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience conducting product demonstrations.
  • Experience conducting product training.
  • Familiarity with software used with field solutions, such as FieldLink, Trimble Cloud Engine, Trimble RealWorks, AutoCAD, Revit and other related applications.
  • Familiarity with survey technics, terms and concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Finely-tuned customer service skills.
  • High diagnostic, analytical and creative skills.
